Adaptive Fitness Class for Adults with Down Syndrome – GiGiFIT

This adaptive fitness class is hosted by GiGi’s Playhouse.
Event Description
Join us for an energizing adaptive fitness class designed specifically for adults with Down syndrome. This class introduces key movements that support strength, balance, and coordination at every stage of life. You’ll learn foundational exercises, hip-strengthening routines, and vestibular movements that are fun and easy to follow.
Each session focuses on building strength, endurance, joint stability, balance, and movement control. These areas are essential for improving overall wellness and boosting self-confidence. Whether you’re new to fitness or already active, this class meets you where you are and helps you grow.
The GiGiFIT program is safe, progressive, and tailored to the needs of individuals with Down syndrome. It promotes lifelong wellness through physical activity, confidence-building, and healthy habits. Participants are encouraged to try their best, push through challenges, and celebrate progress.
If you have any health concerns or need exercise modifications, please talk with our Playhouse staff before class. We are here to support you and ensure a safe, inclusive fitness experience.
