Lights, camera, action! HUG is bringing back one of your favorite events – a “Friends of HUG” Special Needs Screening at Studio Movie Grill.

For many families, going to see a movie is a fun way to spend time together. However, for some with special needs, the traditional movie experience can be overwhelming. The loud sounds and dark room might be overstimulating, plus the need to watch the movie without making too much noise can be difficult.

Friends of HUG Screenings are shown with the lights up and the volume lowered. Attendees can move around, talk, dance, laugh and enjoy the movie without judgment.

HUG’s movie screening will be held on Saturday, June 18th at Studio Movie Grill in Seminole. The theater’s address is 7718 113th Street North, Seminole, FL. This event is free for our friends with disabilities and a guest to attend. Doors open at 10:30am and the movie starts at 11:00am. We’ll be watching Pixar’s new movie “Lightyear”, an offshoot of the classic Toy Story movie centered on the popular character Buzz Lightyear. Anyone who is not fully vaccinated is asked to please keep their face mask on while not actively eating or drinking and practice social distancing.

Attendees will get their choice of entree, popcorn and a soda. The entree options are:

- Studio Movie Grill Burger
