Lakeland Community Theatre’s Out of the Box Troupe is a theatre troupe consisting of 40 members ages 12 to 50 with special needs. The group meets once a week at Lakeland Community Theatre to work on improv, scene work, dance, poetry music, social skills and much more.  Twice a year, the troupe performs a one-act musical production for the community. The troupe accepts new members in January/February and August/September each year. The theatre’s address is 121 S Lake Ave Lakeland, FL 33801. This is a free program sponsored by the GiveWell Community Foundation.

Members can join at either 4:15 – 5:00pm or 5:15 – 6:00pm on Mondays. The semester will culminate with a performance. All participants must be available for the shows. This program is free to anyone who would like to join!
