Splash Pals at the University of South Florida is a social membership and public benefit organization focused on implementing aquatic activity programs for children and adults with various physical and developmental disabilities. In October of 2013, healthcare students at Florida Atlantic University started Splash Pals, formerly Florida Atlantic Adapted Aquatics. The intent is to give back to the community by helping individuals with disabilities of all ages. . Splash Pals Tampa offers Adapted Aquatics, a public benefit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities, while creating meaningful opportunities for students, and spreading the importance of helping others in the communities in which we live and love. Splash Pals works with individuals of various abilities including but not limited to: brain and spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis (CF), epilepsy, multiple sclerosis (MS), muscular dystrophy, down syndrome, developmental delays, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), blindness and low vision, hearing loss or deafness, and/or sensory processing disorders. .
