Oldsmar TOPSoccer is designed to reach and meet the needs of children with physical and/or mental disabilities within Pinellas County. The program focuses on player development rather than competition. Oldsmar TOPSoccer takes the kids off the sidelines and allows them to participate in the game of soccer in a safe and open environment. Oldsmar TOPSoccer works with youth of all abilities, including but not limited to brain and spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, epilepsy, down syndrome, developmental delays, blindness, and low vision, hearing loss and/or sensory processing disorder.
Through the efforts of US Youth Soccer, FYSA, and other members of US Youth Soccer the children participating in the Oldsmar TOPSoccer program will have the opportunity to develop a sense of belonging on and off the soccer pitch as well as learn the value of being part of a team, improve their self-esteem, fitness and social skills, but most importantly, enjoy the great game of soccer!
US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The soccer program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl who has a mental or physical disability in Hillsborough County. Our goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.
The Oldsmar Youth Soccer Association offers this program for free to players that meet the requirements to participate. All we ask for is a small donation of $25 per player to help offset program expenses (rental fees, uniforms, after-session snacks...). This donation is not required and no player will be turned away due to an inability to donate.
