Build-A-Bear’s ‘Sensory-Friendly Time’ is a monthly event where guests with autism or other special needs are provided with a less-stimulating stuffed animal-making experience. These sensory-friendly events feature dimmer lighting, low or no music and staff members trained on accommodating those with sensory sensitivities.

Sensory-Friendly Time is held the first Tuesday of every month during the first hour of the store opening, with most stores opening at 10:00 am. These events are open to children and adults with special needs. You can find a list of Build-A-Bear locations here.
