The City of Largo offers fun things to do for families of all abilities! Our mission is to strengthen the community by creating memorable experiences through education, recreation, parks, and arts.

Through its facilities, cultural center, park system, and sports complexes, the Recreation, Parks & Arts Department offers opportunities for individualized leisure pursuits and passive enjoyment of the natural environment.

We offer adaptations to accommodate adults, children, teens, and families living with special needs, including, but not limited to, Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Tourette Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and all cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our facilities are also wheelchair accessible.

Largo’s Recreation, Parks and Arts Department provides programs for people with cognitive and physical disabilities to promote fitness, health and wellness, increase self-esteem and greater functional independence. Adaptive recreation is committed to providing programs to meet the needs of adults, teens, and children with disabilities in our community. Our events calendar is updated monthly with great programs for you and your family to enjoy together.
