Cost: $10Event Navigation
This event is sponsored by The Florida Aquarium
The Florida Aquarium, in partnership with the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (C.A.R.D.) at the University of South Florida, is hosting a Day of Discovery from 8:00-9:30 AM, on Sunday, September 3rd.
A Day of Discovery provides an Aquarium experience specifically tailored for the enjoyment of individuals with sensory differences and their families. The entire campus will be open for exploring; including engaging touch habitats featuring moon jellies, stingrays, anemones and so much more! The Splash Pad will also be open – so plan to bring a bathing suit, water shoes (optional) and a towel.
To address the needs of our diverse audiences, Day of Discovery has limited capacity and is reserved for families and children with sensory differences and/or accessibility challenges. Special effects, lights and music will be adapted for those with sensory differences. Day of Discovery is free for members and $10 for non-members. Parking is free in The Florida Aquarium lot located north of the Aquarium off Cumberland Ave.
A ticket must be reserved to gain entry to the event.
