Event Description
Join us at Vertical Ventures for Sensory Sunday, a specially designed indoor rock climbing event tailored for individuals with sensory sensitivities. Held on the fourth Sunday of every month from 8 AM to 10 AM, this event provides a calm and welcoming environment by closing the facility to the public and turning off house music. Our goal is to create a stress-free, sensory-friendly climbing experience where everyone can feel comfortable and included.

Participants can expect a quiet and supportive atmosphere with reduced noise and a smaller crowd. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber, our team is here to help. Supportive staff members will be available to provide gym tours, assist with gear fitting, offer climbing instruction, and belay (handle the ropes) to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

To further accommodate sensory-sensitive climbers, we offer noise-canceling headphones, a designated Zen Den with coloring books and games for those needing a break from climbing, and clearly established guidelines for maintaining a quiet and soothing atmosphere. All attendees, including Vertical Ventures members, are required to follow the Sensory Sunday protocol of using quiet voices to contribute to a peaceful experience.

This event is open to all ages and welcomes both members and guests. Vertical Ventures members can participate for free, while guest admission is $25. Punch Pass holders may also use punches for this session. Sensory Sunday provides a unique opportunity for individuals and families to engage in rock climbing in an inclusive and accommodating environment.
